Chicago Antique Market

yesterday afternoon started out with a drive to Randolph street where you can find the CHICAGO ANTIQUE MARKET that sets up every month. I attended with my good friend Jen and our two boys. This market had been on my list since last year and there we were yesterday visiting for our first time.

It's an indoor/outdoor market with tons of great findings for all.

I met some very nice vendors like Kimberly here. isn't she cute. she had some wonderful pieces all around her.

Down below is Albert. HEY ALBERT! Albert is from the FOUND.

He had really great pictures and some artsy pieces as well. I bought a few 1920s pics from him. You all know those are my favorite of all time. He was very nice to let me take his picture. Doesn't he have a great smile. Good luck to you Albert if you decide to go visit MOs fleas. Drop me a line if you need some info on some great places to visit.

I also met another lady named Donna that I don't have pictured. She actually gave me a free pass for next month. THANKS Donna it is appreciated. :)

Under Albert is Kathy's booth. Kathy is from The Antique Shoppe all the way from Fairbury, IL. I loved the way she had everything displayed. She has her own shop in Fairbury and she has a blog as well. Why don't you click on the link and check her out.

All in all, it was a great market and I am going to try really hard to attend next month.

just one more picture I wanted to share with you...look at the wonderful color!

I took a quick walk through Herrick Lake today. I pass it almost everyday when I take my boys to school. today I had my camera with me and decided to stop and see if the leaves are starting to change colors. everything still looks green. a few trees have changed their color, but most of them are still green. next week if possible I plan on either going to Cantigny Park or the Arboretum (don't know if I spelled that right). Patti, did you recommend Cantigny to me? Which is better for picture taking?

I hope you enjoy these pictures I took. It is so peaceful at this park. I love it...

It's raining outside again. that's okay because in less then an hour my favorite show PROJECT RUNWAY will start. I just wanted to mention that if you need some fall inspiration run and get these mags... these are my favorite! I always enjoy the OCTOBER issues and then I just can't wait for the December issues to come out.

it's just around the corner

so have you started creating for Halloween? two weeks ago, I visited my local scrapbook store and bought these awesome sticker cutouts. I thought they were kind of cool. since all of my art supply stuff is back in MO, I thought I would get a few things to make a few simple cards. I got rid of the packaging material so I don't know who makes the cut outs, but I am sure if you visit your local Archivers you will find them there. they would even look great if you popped some of these cutouts on a card. I would definitely distress the card with some black paint or by using some sandpaper. sweet and simple.

the weekend has come and gone and in a few hours a new week will be here. after a good game of soccer on Saturday, I was able to spend some quality time with my friend Jennifer. instead of her driving to Wheaton, I decided to meet up with her at an antique mall in LaGrange, IL. I really did not spend much. I bought a few 1920 pictures and 10 flashcards with different words listed. one side in English and on the other side the word was translated into German.

all in all it was a fairly great weekend. I hope yours was as wonderful as mine.

I just love everything about this picture that I took a couple months ago so excuse me for reposting it.

what have I been up to? well let's see.......

for the time being, I am a stay at home mom, but the resume has been updated and you all know what that means. I took a power point class yesterday evening. I had no idea I was really going to like it.

I washed all day today and I am still not done. needed to catch up on all the laundry. watched the movie SWEENEY TODD (did I spell SWEENEY correctly?) love that movie. The music just love the music....there was a barber and his wife and she was beautiful.....

I am on my way to Las Vegas soon to attend my brother's wedding. it's going to be a down to earth wedding very simple. I am so happy for him.

hubbies birthday is tomorrow. so as you can see lots going on.

next weekend is the Sandwich, IL flea which I would like to go to if GOD permits.

Oh my gosh, I just remembered next weekend is the all nighter flea at Kane County! MUST ATTEND!

yes lots of stuff going on.

jut in case you did not attend the Country Living fair this year McMaster and Storm and LoLa B's Boutique have posted some great pictures of their booths at the fair. the pictures look delish. take a look at all their goodies they were selling. I am so bummed I did not attend. maybe next year.

looks like it was a wonderful show!

WHY don't they come back to Chicago and do the show here next year? Please COUNTRY LIVING!!!! I am begging and pleading.

okay gotta run. made a cake for hubby today and I need to go decorate it.

wishing you peace and harmony!

so since I do not have any fall decor here in Il and some of you have all started decorating I thought I would get into it to. I am feeling a bit better so I ran to Jo Ann Fabrics, picked out a few flowers, grabbed a grape vine wreath and this is what came out. Hope it does not look to bad for an amateur wreath maker. so now I am ready for fall.... well at least my apartment door is ready.

I have been laying around sick as a dog. I guess my immune system has been down lately and it seems that I always catch something. I am always the first every year to catch some kind of virus. at least I am wearing my happy red polka dot boxers to make me happy.

so sometimes while I am bored I like to doodle. here is one of my doodling pictures I drew while sitting at my dinner table. maybe I should start up a doodling journal.

bummer weekend

no I am not whinning because I know other people are going through worse things then us.

it's been raining since Friday non-stop. no sign of the sun in three days. so we never went to the renegade craft fair. I got a horrible cold.... sore throat the works. hubby still wanted to go out to dinner, but I really was not up to it so that got cancelled.

life goes on right. hopefully the sun will come out to tomorrow and make everything right again.

Who I am!

Yes I am a bit on the kookey side, a bit eccentric and a tad artistic. I am 100% rebellious. I am free spirited.

This is who I am take it or leave it.

I wear my heart on my sleeve. I cry over stupid stuff. I am anal. I am my worst enemy. I am tired of feeling guilty. I suffer from anxiety.

This is who I AM.

Learn to accept.....

I need to learn to accept myself. The good and the bad. The whole package.

This is who I AM!

I don't believe someone can change at 40 so it's about time I start realizing that this is who I AM!
