Hausermann Orchids 50th year Anniversary

okay even though I am sick as a DOG yes again, I was NOT going to miss this wonderful 50th Anniversary in Villa Park.

Hausermann did not disappoint. It was wonderful. I think I was there for 2 hours.

You should see the orchids I came home with. No I think I have lets see around 20 orchid plants. That is it for me. One whole side of my Angie room is dedicated to just these plants. My mother and father had a wonderful time to0 as they are big time plant lovers and I think I have converted them to orchid lovers as well.

By the looks of the parking lot there were people from Indiana, Michigan and tons from IL. This weekend contines as they are celebrating next weekend as well. I will be there Sat. as I am taking my nice neighbor Mirium. She already has me on her calendar she said. I did not want to take her this weekend as she is elderly and I really did not want to get her sick.

So I hope u enjoy the pictures I took. It's a wonderful place to visit. Don't forget their doing it again next weekend. I swear u won't know which plant to take home as they are all unique and beautiful.

isn't it true that for them you would do absolutely anything..

that is true for me.

my oldest is getting as tall as his father. he has passed me up and I am around 5'5.

my youngest has my father's eyes, but his personality is a splitting image of mine. My cousin told me yesterday that he totally loves me immensly. she said that sometimes when she is around and makes fun of me he will give her the "eye". FUNNY.

My oldest is serious as can be and is way closer to his I-pod then me... he's a teenager now and when I was his age all I wanted to do was listen to music, but back then we had the boom box...

THEY are the loves of my life..... always wanted children and I am honored to be their mother.

I really thought I was done using my winter boots... WRONG...

We have a few inches of snow today not sure if it's stopped snowing yet. 43 degrees by Sunday, but I saw more snow in the forecast for next week Tuesday.

Boots are by the door and I am up early don't know how long it's going to take me to get to work. okay gotta run.....

so I told u that this past Sat I went again to the orchid show from 9 to 10 for picture taking. It was fun. Here are a few pics I took for your enjoyment.

I will also be attending the 50 year anniversary of Hausermann Orchid Nursery in Lombard on Addison this weekend Sat and Sun and I believe they will have another celebration in March as they are splitting it up for people that can't make it this weekend.

I believe they open at 9 and will have displays, and arrangement making and other stuff. Pls check out their website. All pictures were taken with my Nikon with no flash.... I like pictures better that way.

My new ORCHID

So this is my new addition to my orchid family. isn't she a beauty. I think I am going to get ready to go again for the photo session this morning from 9 to 10.

I am going to take with me one of my orchids that has small black spots to see what they tell me. One orchid seller yesterday told me it's common, but I want them to see it and tell me what is going on. It has new growth but the new growth has the spots too.

The next orchid show in the area will be in April at the Chicago Botanical Garden... maybe I will see you there.......

Orchid Show Dupage County b there or b square

so whats going on this weekend. well I am going to the orchid show in dupage county. the show is from 10 to 5 today and tomorrow.

they will be having classes and selling orchids.

it's all free....

so gotta run, gotta get some daily chores in before I pack up my bag and go to show later this morning.... ciao

Amy Winehouse - Back To Black

In loving memory 1923 to 2012 JESUS TORREZ

for the last two days this is where I have been. Honoring this person that so many people loved. I never really knew him, actually it was my loss because from what I understand him and his wife, that has already passed away, were the most nicest couple that you would of loved to have met.

He died suddenly and from what I understand without pain.

The saddest saddest part of this whole tragedy was the wailing and cries of the people that loved him. Not just the women were crying, but grown men as well. I cried for their loss as it was very evident when you looked at their faces how great their pain was.

I know he is now happy and in peace at the side of his wife and I wondered how many times during these last two days they were both by our sides and we were just not able to to see them. It puts life in prospective doesn't it. I know it does for me as I have had many difficult situations that I have been dealing with lately.

I saw people hug each other and cry together and all the problems people have I am sure are forgotten at least for that moment.

So I just wanted to say JESUS TORREZ you will always be remembered by your loved ones.
May you now be in heaven with our LORD JESUS CHRIST and pray for us that you have left behind. I am sure all your family will greatly miss you.

QUE DIOS TENGA PIEDED DE TODOS NOSOTROS - may you rest in peace by the side of your loving wife .

sorry not in a very lovey dovey mood today.

hope all of you that are in love have a very happy Valentines Day tomorrow.

I actually will be at a wake as a family member passed away on Sat. His wake will be tomorrow which would of been his wedding anniversary and the funeral will be Wednesday. He died suddenly on Saturday at the age of 89.

At least he is now again with his beloved wife that passed away a few years back when I lived in MO.

May he now be at peace...

an old friend

so yesterday ended up being a fully packed day. Meet an old friend of mine from my past. We kind of grew up together. She came into my life when I was a teenager being 43 now that seems so long ago.

I have to say that it was a pleasant meeting. I kind of tend to stay away from my past, but it's been seriously almost 11 years since we really just hung out and had a nice conversation. We had a nice breakfast at Cafe Mimi in Orland Park and then I got to visit her home for a few minutes before we hit a few stores in her area.

You never know maybe this is the beginning of a new friendship. Yes, I know we were friends before but now we are both older and maybe wiser. Who knows? I guess I am up for this new relationship. Hope our friendship works out well. Here's to a new start...

so why am i up so early? wish i knew the answer to that question. during the week i cant get up and now the weekend is here and i am up washing. bummer.

there is a reason though. a friend from my past wants to get together this morning for breakfast. i saw her a few weeks ago at her son's b-day party but we did not get a chance to sit down and talk face to face.

I grew up with this girl so she was a big part of my teenage years. so maybe that is why I am up so early kind of anxious you know. so this morning I will be on my way to orland park as she lives somewhere over the rainbow.

okay so I am going to be kind of deep right now.

Have you ever noticed how life sometimes helps you in some cases/situations. What I am trying to say is for example, if I would of not stopped at the ladies room right after lunch I would of run into that person. Here is another example, today I decided not stay in for lunch. lately I have been staying in for lunch sitting at my desk, eating and browsing on the Internet during my 1 hour break. Today as soon as I got to work a co-worker friend asked me to lunch. She went at 11:30 today, mind you my lunch is usually after 12:00. I asked to go at 11:30 today and it was okayed. Well, if I would of just kept to my usual lunch routine, I would of run into that situation that I have been avoiding.

Not sure if I can explain what I am truly trying to say. I guess what I mean is life or fate was helping me out so that I would not run into someone that was visiting today at our office that used to work there before. The situation was kind of complicated and I guess it was best for both that we did not run into each other.

I guess in my mind something out there was looking out for me. Not sure if it was GOD or life itself. I guess what happened today just makes me realize that there is something else out there. I tend to believe that it was GOD looking out for me, but I also believe that sometimes stuff happens because it's meant to be or not meant to be. Sometimes stuff happens that we don't understand and we will understand later. I do believe though that TODAY everything that is a usual routine for me daily was all moved around so the paths of two people would not meet again at this time. Sorry if this post might be a bit to confusing or deep - like my cousin always tells me - ANGIE u r to deep... I think that scares her cause she doesn't truly understand me. Love you cousin if you are reading.... that's it for now.

Restoration Hardware Oak Brook Mall

ok so the other day, more like this past Tuesday, I took some personal time from work because the weather was supposed to be sunny and around the 40s. I had planned to go to the arboretum and take a few pics. As soon as I walked out of that building, I call my second home, I swear the sun said see ya and I never saw it again that day.

well I thought either I stay at work or I go somewhere else.

I decided to take a drive to oak brook mall. I had a few hours to kill so I decided to kill them at the mall. I ran into RESTORATION HARDWARE love that store. So I took out my handy dandy point and shoot and here are a few pics I took. I love the style of the furniture the colors are all very calming. love love love it.

I did get a good deal on a fossil wallet at Macy's. 40% off on a fossil wallet that I tell ya is a good deal. Well my time was up, headed home to feed my boys and get their early enough to have dinner together.

Oh and by the way, as I was making my way home the sun did peep out a little through some of the darker clouds.... but by that time it was almost 4:30ish and my thoughts were more on my boys then turning around and going to the park. I am sure there will be other sunny days to come.
