Clear Water Beach - Florida Spring Break 2012

even though I had a great weekend, part of me still wants to be on this beach in Florida.

I was taking a walk along the sea line picking shells when on my way back from my walk I see my youngest being buried in sand by my oldest.

LOL...... at least they were getting along and having fun

Good old fashion fun.... no ipods, no computer games, no computers not one ....... just plain fun.

Orlando Florida Renissance Resort

okay so here are a few pics.... yes when I entered the resort my jaw dropped. it was
B E A U T I F U L and I loved their decor. They had tons of cool art displayed and also tons of cool little places to sit at all over the place with cool lighting. We were on the 6th floor. This place was huge. They had music playing on the outside grounds and fire's burning at night so that you can sit, enjoy and just relax. I wish I would of had more time to just sit and relax.

We did so much and had tickets for Universal Studios, wet and wild, and Islands of Adventure that would take up almost all the hours of the day. I never even got time to go to the resort indoor bar to enjoy a drink. I did have a couple of pina coladas by the pool which were pretty delicious I must admit.

I will try to add more pics soon... remember I took at least a 1000 pics but I will share only a few more as I don't want to bore you with my spring break trip.

so I was told that the picture I posted earlier looked like a mug shot......LOL....... sorry did not mean to scare anyone. I don't always like to wear makeup and/or a lot of makeup like I used to so I thought posting a picture with my crazy unruly hair and my sun spots from this past weekend was okay to do to show that it's okay to be natural. But instead I was told that it looked like a mugshot and that I did not comb my hair.

to be honest I don't comb my hair I rarely do that. I usually just use my hands when I am drying my hair or straightening it.

so I guess I decided to post new pics where I hope I look like I am not going to jail.

Somewhere in Kentucky

okay so here are two pics that I took somewhere in Kentucky..... The ride was long, but some of the scenery was amazing especially when you have someone like me that loves trees. we did get caught up in a few storms on the way to Florida. Thank God that once we got to Orlando it never rained it was sun sun sun every day that we were there. Chattanooga was pretty as well as Nashville. I have never seen so many Cracker Barrels..... more to come

IM BBBBAAAAACCCCCKKKKKK

So I am back, actually got back yesterday around 12 something in the afternoon. Am I happy to be back? Yes, I guess I am, but part of me could of stayed. It's not reality though if you really think about it.

We had fun - the trip and drive went very well and I am so grateful. Of course, I am so worn out. Been washing since yesterday, plus my plants needed some care and I hate my floors having any kind of dust on them so that had to be done. So no, I did not get home to take a nap, it's the same ole real life as usual.

I took around a 1000 pics. Tons and tons and I will post them soon. I finally got the laptop away from my son so now I get to use it and download all the pics. Pics from the road trip, to Universal, to what we ate and what we did. We went to Clear Water beach which was beautiful and very relaxing. Was I in pain no not at all not even when I was bent over for a few hours collecting sea shells. NO pain. That felt good.

So stay tuned I will be posting tons of pics in the next week and here are a few starting in a few minutes.....

Yesterday................

so yesterday for only a few minutes as I had tons of running around to do as I have today I took a few minutes to lay on the grass under this wonderful tree. so relaxing. who cares who was passing by it was just great to take a few minutes and just lay down and enjoy the weather. toooo bad it was just for a few minutes.

I have 4 more days to go and I am driving to Florida with my boys. One whole week of just being away will probably do wonders for my health.

as healthy as I would like to be I am not. my neck issues are getting worse that sometimes the meds don't even work and I have been noticing that more and more. not sure if the cold weather was affecting it. I probably will need to go under the knife sooner then I would like to. I guess I am just scared that I might not come out being able to walk or move. Not sure if I can handle being in a wheel chair.

SUCKS, but sometimes the pain is tooo much to handle. I think it's getting the best of me and I am so tired of taking all the meds I take every day.

another wonderful day to be had today. I have a Target run I have to do to return shorts that my son bought that don't fit. My dad called the other day wanted to talk about his new tv he bought and I think he really wants us to come over to check it out. Let's see how many tvs does he have in that house now like 6 or more.... LOL... my father just like me, but I love cameras and he loves his TVs. Plus, I want to go see my parents before I leave...

Okay all I have to run now again did not sleep in... never do on the weekends like I would like. The birds were chirping this morning and that woke me up.... never heard them during the winter and now for the last few days they have been singing and singing and singing...

so there was the box, it's been in the laundry room for almost four years now.... I finally said it's time to tackle this and see what's hiding inside and wow this is what I found. A few old pics of me in my early early 20s. LOL....

thought I would share them... check out the hair. we used to use aqua net back then to make it big.... yes I do have a lot of hair especially when it's long it can still actually look like this.

crazy hugh? the only thing that I really really regret of those days is the men I dated or really should I have said boys.... if I knew then what I know now I would of never had dated who I dated back then. Wish I WOULD OF HAD MORE SENSE BACK THEN. I guess I didn't know any better right.......

Thought I would share the pictures of my youth......

just wanted to share what I found last week on one of my orchids that I bought last year that had not ever bloomed yet. This is going to be interesting because it's flower is very unique.

Can't wait to see what the buds will bring.

and for all us of that are living in Chicago, what beautiful weather we are having SUN SUN SUN

my doctor did some blood work and found that I am very low in vitamin D, I guess I should get my butt outside and catch some of those sun rays.

so this is one of my new orchids the flowers are very small probably as small as a dime. it's so pretty and it still has a few buds left to bloom.

ooops I made a mistake the previous picture is not of my peony plant. actually, I really thought it was, but when I looked closer yesterday it's an iris that is right next to the peony plant.

so I am up early again, I was having the craziest dream. I was in line for a concert and I was up next to get checked by security. I was so nervous they would find my camera in my purse that while the guy was checking me I was throwing stuff out of my purse into the garbage to distract him.

He then got suspicious and started looking through the trash. He found a shirt of mine in the garbage filled with old blood. Actually, it was not blood, it was a drink that I had had some time before that had spilled on my shirt, had dried up and looked like blood. I was then pulled aside as he called the police to come and check the shirt that was full of blood as he thought. CRAZY DREAM actually that woke me up so that is why I am up at freakin 6:00 a.m. instead of sleeping in. Funny cause then during the week all I was to do is sleep when I have to go to work..... LOL

so guess what I saw yesterday when I sat outside for a bit to enjoy the nice weather. My peony plant is coming back. I removed some of the old dried up leaves that were on top of the new growth to take this picture.

SPRING!

Not sure if I ever told you but my favorite color is green.....

so I have been practicing my photography with the orchid I bought at the Dupage County Orchid show.

I can't tell you how much I love the color variation on this flower. From fuchsia to a reddish color and a bit of yellow and orange. LOVELY.

so what did you do this weekend. I actually moved some stuff around. took this past Friday off and went to Woodfield mall in Schaumburg. Bought a vintage looking butterfly framed art piece and a few other things. Time to start making the angie room look more springy....

Hausermann Orchids 50th year Anniversary

okay even though I am sick as a DOG yes again, I was NOT going to miss this wonderful 50th Anniversary in Villa Park.

Hausermann did not disappoint. It was wonderful. I think I was there for 2 hours.

You should see the orchids I came home with. No I think I have lets see around 20 orchid plants. That is it for me. One whole side of my Angie room is dedicated to just these plants. My mother and father had a wonderful time to0 as they are big time plant lovers and I think I have converted them to orchid lovers as well.

By the looks of the parking lot there were people from Indiana, Michigan and tons from IL. This weekend contines as they are celebrating next weekend as well. I will be there Sat. as I am taking my nice neighbor Mirium. She already has me on her calendar she said. I did not want to take her this weekend as she is elderly and I really did not want to get her sick.

So I hope u enjoy the pictures I took. It's a wonderful place to visit. Don't forget their doing it again next weekend. I swear u won't know which plant to take home as they are all unique and beautiful.

isn't it true that for them you would do absolutely anything..

that is true for me.

my oldest is getting as tall as his father. he has passed me up and I am around 5'5.

my youngest has my father's eyes, but his personality is a splitting image of mine. My cousin told me yesterday that he totally loves me immensly. she said that sometimes when she is around and makes fun of me he will give her the "eye". FUNNY.

My oldest is serious as can be and is way closer to his I-pod then me... he's a teenager now and when I was his age all I wanted to do was listen to music, but back then we had the boom box...

THEY are the loves of my life..... always wanted children and I am honored to be their mother.
