meet our new family member

okay so let me tell you my long story. my oldest is at the I WANT A REPTILE stage. his birthday recently past and ever since it came and went all this boy dreams about it owning some kind of lizard or snake. I believe in the last two months we have been to the pet store at least 6 times just to go look at these little creatures.

well maybe two weeks ago he came home from school with a paper with information about a animal convention nearby. he was talking to a teacher at school and she gave him all the information of this animal sale.

so this past Saturday after my younger son's soccer game the boys were all going to attend. my oldest has been saving his money for a while, but he really did not have enough for all that is needed to keep an animal like this.

so here we are going to the first soccer game when I swear right in front of me someone was throwing out their fish tank. I SCREAMED to my husband look a fish tank. that is what we need. well hubby and I stopped the truck grabbed the fish tank, that was in pretty great condition, and took it to my son's soccer practice where we surprised him.

Now you don't have to buy one. All we had to do was take it home and give it a good cleaning. So to make this long story short. GOD has been listening to my son's prayers of wanting a little friend. We were at the right place at the right time. We got a free fish tank and that same afternoon my son came home with this cute little chameleon. He is very adorable. He was named STRIPES. I thought maybe more like Charlie but that did not go very far.

so just thought I would share with you a picture of our new family member. MEET MR. STRIPES.

well this weekend weather wise turned out to be wonderful. we spent our time at soccer games for both my boys and you know where I went if you read my previous entries.

here are a few of the things that I purchased at the flea. I love oval plates, this picture of MAE was only $1.00 and there was a vendor that was selling vintage prints.

I was happy with what I purchased. I love going to the flea to just see what vendors sell plus of course to take pictures.

next month should be great because I know tons of Halloween stuff will be popping up everywhere. I did run across a gentlemen that had Halloween postcards for sale but at $30.00 a piece sorry but I will pass.

that is it for now. have a wonderful week and don't forget the RENEGADE Craft Fair is next weekend. My wedding anniversary is next weekend as well. Guess where we are going! Yes he has agreed to go with me to the fair and afterwards we are headed off to Connies Pizza where we had our first date. We have not been there in a long time so CONNIES here we come. I told him we need to try to sit in the same booth that we ate for the first time 14 years ago. We will see.

shabby pink

so this is the pink wicker chair I left behind in July and now I brought it home. I am not good with wheeling and dealing, but I thought why not. so since then gentlemen was nice enough to give it to me at a decent price I was nice enough to accept. It will need a bit of cleaning and of course new padding, but as far as the shabbiness well that's why I bought it. so now I can sit out on my apartment porch just in time for fall and just in time to start watching the leaves turn colors.

St. Charles, IL flea

what a beautiful day today was. Thank GOD the sun was shinning. it was not hot and there was
a bit of a breeze. I attended the flea today. I could not wait till Sunday and will probably not attend tomorrow
so I am glad I got the chance to go. I met the SIGN GUY. I told him I would give him a shout out on my blog. He creates signs I believe for announcements of any kind. I wish I would of grabbed his card, but I didn't. I am sure here is there monthly.

I swear this flea is AWESOME. there is so much to look at and toooo buy. I bought a few things. Did not go crazy. I did not take that many pictures. one of the vendors that I asked permission to take a picture was not that nice so I guess it scared me off. so here are a few of the photos I took of some awesome stuff.

HELLO SIGN GUY!

I will take pics of some of my goodies and post soon..... oh by the way do you remember the shabby pink wicker rocking chair I wanted back in July. It was still there! guess where it's at right now? IN MY TRUNK waiting for me to take her out tomorrow. Now I have to figure out how to tell the hubby since he keeps reminding me the more you bring into this apartment the more we will have to move out when we buy a house. OKAY, OKAY............

another gloomy day... well for most of the day. I would say sometime after 5:00 p.m. the sun finally came to visit me. so tomorrow is going to be a long day, but as long as the sun is out I am okay.

Soccer games this weekend and flea fun are on the schedule.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Thanks PATTI for your best wishes for me.

Peace!
