so Sunday early morning I took my two nephews home and Petes Market on Pulaski (south side) was calling my name. I think I went a bit crazy in the produce section, but that is okay as I was so ready for some chicken caldo (soup) yes home made. I think I have mentioned before that I am not that crazy about cooking, but when the bug bites it gets me for days.
So I made a large pot of Chicken soup don't know why cause I am still eating eat as my two boys are really picky. Its good though and by the second day it tastes even better. I added sweet corn, calabazas, carrots, red potatoes, chicken of course, cilantro and aguacate (avocado) and lets not forget a bit of lemon to make it tasty and a dash of green tomato hot sauce...
I found these beautiful orange squashs (they look like pumpkins to me) just to decorate my small cozy kitchen and all that cilantro I put to good use as I took off today to hang at home and cooked up a big pot of lentil soup... LOVE LOVE LOVE me some lentil soup. I will be sharing with two ladies at work as I promised them the soup and I am taking it to work tomorrow for lunch. Oh what does the wreath down below have to do with this post just another fall object that is decorating my kitchen wall.
