my world of soccer

so this weekend I will be at at least 6 soccer games.

my boys have tournaments this weekend and thank GOD that it's at the same park.

I read it's supposed to be cooler by the time Sat comes so I will have get my gear ready

leg warmers

jacket

scarf

it gets cold in those open soccer fields

Michigan - apple picking

even though it was cloudy in illinois this morning all you have to do is take a two hour drive east to Michigan and the sun was shining brightly.

here are a few pics of our trip to Michigan today to pick apples. what fun my boys had and to be honest it was nice to do something different. my parents (pictured) always take the trip every year to pick apples. when we were younger my parents loved going to pick tomatoes as well as they used to can it. now they just enjoy going for apples.

so after picking two big bags full of apples what will I do so many, of course some of them will be for our eating enjoyment, but I plan on giving some to my neighbor and taking some to work to share.

p.s. the cute little red apple shown below was picked especially for me by my youngest just because it was cute and small.

rest a minute

honestly what a beautiful day today, when I wake up in the morning with the sun shining so brightly the only thing I want to do is get ready and get outside.

after a long day today (its only 5:47 pm) it's time to take some time to rest a minute. so earings are off, my nice bowl of lentil soup is waiting to be had and I have my best friend coming over to have movie night.

I did get a bottle of wine, strawberries, and some nice cold shrimp to munch on... and of course there will be popcorn popping.

tomorrow I am off to Michigan with my parents to do some apple pickin. My boys should love that. hope we get to buy some pumpkins or other decorative veggies.

I found these wonderful letters at an antique store on Lagrange a year ago....

to be honest I have not read them because this is how I purchased them tied in a velvet ribbon.

so in my mind

I recently was told that I write in code. I guess if I do I am good at it. Actually, I guess it really doesn't matter maybe just to me - so then this leads to the next part of this entry.

lately I have been listening to Sheryl Crow.... the girl rocks I must admit.

so what time is it???? time for the weekend, one more day of work and it's off to the weekend. I am throwing a party for someone tomorrow that turns 40 so it better be a great day....

lots of food coming chicken, ribs, mostaccioli (did I spell that right - I don't think so) salad, dips the works.

so what did I buy at the fair last weekend.... your dying to know right? well the only thing I bought was this cute little owl pictured on the side here. he is handmade of felt. he is so cute and since I did have an owl once living in one of my trees I thought it would be great to have this little guy as a symbol. hope he's full of good luck for me today. so you all have a great day. hope your weekend is full of fun and I will see ya soon.

RENEGADE CRAFT FAIR 2010

the morning yesterday started very rainy....bummer I thought we were going to have to cancel... called the girls and we decided to get breakfast first to see if the rain was going to subside. it did finally and it ended up being a wonderful day for the RENEGADE craft fair.

I will show you more pics soon, but for now here is a pic of what I had to drink (that I had wanted the night before) a tall glass of carrot juice from a restaurant called WISHBONE... yum

so early to bed early to rise, is that how it goes.....first pick up my bff friend Jen and then off to pick up my cousin in Oak Park...

After that the wind will take us to Wicker Park for the Craft Renegade fair.... can't wait.

I have to get my outfit ready in a few.

Oh yeah something green, something green hhhmmm... something green.

camera battery is a charging as I am lighting a wonderful candle I got at bath and body called Leaves.... smells wonderful. oh yeah, green sweater and my polka dotted green bag.... ready all checked off...

shoes? something comfortable as I am sure we will be doin a whole lotta walking.... snacks hhhhmmmmm don't have any will need to pick that up tomorrow morning. I could go for some carrot juice with orange just about now.... no cross that out maybe a cold corona light with some lime and salt - don't have any... bummer....

I am off to work in a while, been dreaming of going to the fair tomorrow CRAFT RENEGADE fair that is... I heard last year it wasn't that great.. I hope it doesn't disappoint this year.

I am picking up my BFF JLO early morning so she better be ready or the bus leaves and I will be going by myself. JK Jen..
