there is a wonderful cool breeze outside and the sun is shining. instead of blogging I should be applying for jobs. I promise I have but it's just not meant to be right now I suppose. I need to run to my boys room where the sun shines brightly to take pics of an idea that has been running around in my head. I did bring some of my art supplies from MO and I am trying to convince myself to start creating again.

maybe soon it will happen. we have a lot of stuff on our plates right now.

I just ran into someone I had not seen in 7 years. Kind of weird. Do you believe in destiny? well it happened to me yesterday. right place at the right time. it was meant to be. you know.... it happens for a reason. I actually ran into her husband well really he ran into me because I did not recognize him at all. He looked at me and asked if I was ANGIE...yes, but who are you? you look familiar, but I don't know where from....school maybe? I am Gricelda's husband. OH MY GOSH... it's been 7 years.

Gricelda used to be a good friend of mine. we kind of grew up together. I lost track of her when I left State Farm a few years ago to stay home with my younger son. first thing I asked him was when did they get married. OCTOBER 5th he said. WOW that was the day my younger son was born.

see I believed she was mad at me because I did not attend her wedding in Chicago. I couldn't go, I was ready to give birth any day. I lost track of time and have always wondered what happened to her.

so to make this long story short, I went out to eat lunch yesterday with a friend. lunch was not planned it was a spur of the moment thing. Gricelda's husband was ordering behind me. He recognized me and am glad he asked if it was me. at least now I know that Gricelda is doing great.

so if you don't believe in destiny or it was meant to be please believe as what happened to me yesterday was just that. I was not supposed to be at this restaurant, but a change in plans has brought someone back into my life that had been far from my life for the past 7 years. To top it off it all happened in the month of October. The last time I believe I talked to her was 7 years ago in October.

Chicago.... continued.

okay this is what I was talking about in my previous post. There is a set of these right in the park. water trickles down from the top while faces are showing on this pillar like a movie. the faces change expressions and all of a sudden the mouth of the person puckers and it shoots out water. kids were really enjoying this as they were getting wet underneath. whoever invented this has a great imagination. there were people all over the place sitting down taking pictures and getting their feet wet.

really awesome if you ask me.

The CLOUD

if you are in downtown Chicago, I would suggest that you make a quick stop to check this out. I believe it is called the cloud. I am not even going to start explaining what material it is made of maybe some kind of shiny reflective steel. it's really cool and as you can tell people were enjoying being around it and taking pictures of themselves in this distorted reflective cloud. there is also a park underneath criss crossing bars. I believe they play music there. not sure because I was not there when music was playing. people were all over the place playing ball, laying around, just hanging and having a happy time. the atmosphere was very energetic. stay tuned for one more wonder of the park.

My kind of town CHICAGO is......

before I left to Mo this past Sunday, I was able to visit downtown Chicago. A few months ago, a fellow co-worker had asked me to be her tour guide when she came to visit us here in Chi-town. It was a gorgeous day and her tour started out at NAVY PIER....(MY FAVORITE PLACE). we decided to take a boat ride, at first I was wary to agree because I am not a lover of deep water. I like to admire it from afar not be in it. I don't know how to swim ya'll.

I am glad I agreed because I was able to see Chicago's sky line in a whole different angle. IT IS AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Now I remember why I missed Chicago so much when I left. It is such an amazing city. One of the great things about this boat ride was that I was able to see the light house up close. I have always enjoyed photographing it, but this time I was right there.... YAY!!!!!!!

After the ride, we took a long walk on the pier and headed off to get some lunch. there is so much to pick from, but we decided to get CONNIES pizza.
If you ever want some good deep dish pizza I suggest Connies.

Afterwards, she did a little bit of shopping and off we were to the next place on my tour list.

I drove her to the fountain, but it was closed off because of the big race that took place on Sunday. Bummer.... maybe next time.

I then drove her to see the Magnificent Mile. I swear everyone in Chicago was there. Next was the MILLENNIUM park that I myself had never been to. All I have to say is WOW....wow....wow....wow... tooo cool.....

so come back ya'll ya here if you would like to see some more of my Chicago tour pictures.
