so what a long day yesterday I was up at around 5:35 and did not get home till almost 11:00 p.m.

I ended up meeting my cousin Yoli and her daughter Kari at Oak Brook Mall to do a bit of holiday shopping.

We had a great time especially when we spent most of the time trying to talk southern.... we were pretending we were southern belles... I am sure the people around us thought we were a bit on the cooo cooo side, but it was just fun and by that time I think it was the exhaustion hitting in... or maybe the cold air that was making us delirious. We had a fun time just laughing. I have not laughed like that in a while it's good for the soul you know.

well I am off to a baptism today and guess what the sun is shining and I get to enjoy that. I have not been to a church in forever, I prefer going to church when no one is there so by that I mean I have not been to a church service in a while. I promised myself that I need to get to a church during lunch sometime just to reflect and be at peace at least once a week. it's getting too cold to go to the park during lunch. I believe there are a few Catholic churches in Elmhurst close to work. so that is what I have on my bucket list.

You all have a great day and we will see what today and tomorrow brings... cousin wants to hang at the Aurora outlet mall tomorrow... she needs to do some more shopping...

so Thanksgiving came and went..... glad we were able to at least have a nice dinner as I found out today that one of my uncles is very ill and there is a possibility that he might not make it. my mother would of cried at any minute but she was so strong and keept on a happy face for all of us that attended today's dinner.

there is a big possibility that she might leave tomorrow to be by his side. he lives out of the country.

so tomorrow I am off to work bright and early and then depending on whats going on meeting my cousin right after work to hang out.

all you early birds have fun shopping tomorrow.

don't forget to get some great deals.... if I can get up early before I got to work I might hit Target, but I will probably hit the snooze button a couple of times and will not get up as I had intended.

this post goes out to my cousin Yoli that was so nice enough yesterday to come all the way to where I live and drop off some face wash that she so generously gave to me and also brought me a home baked pumpkin pie...

the weather has been so winter like - gloomy and rainy.

I don't do great in this weather. yesterday was a very lonely day and my nerves were totally 100% up.

You know like the days where you just don't want to be even around yourself. I got in my car and drove around and decided that I needed to do something I had not done for a while. I ended up at an antique mall on Lagrange. I then called her up and she had come out to see me.... so I left the mall and speed to where she was at we had a nice dinner and hung out for a bit.

Yolanda I just want to thank you for coming by and doing something so nice like bringing that pie to me all out of your way. What a kind thing to do and I appreciate it totally. I did put whip cream on it just like you suggested and it tastes great. Thanks so much... Many blessings to you cousin. If I was upset yesterday it was not at you... I hope you understand.

so I ended up going to see my brother last night and as I was starting to take my camera out I noticed that I forgot the little san diskHC card.... bummer.

how could I do this but there was really nothing I could do as I was not going to drive all the way back to get it.

Big Bummer though.

I ended up buying some cute little earrings that say

OUI and NON and my first Christmas present for my friend Jen.

it's looks like winter outside this morning. cold and gloomy and a bit foggy. not sure what today will bring possibly get to meet my cousin later for some girl time.

well I guess I will see yall later...

boots are on, hair is done, all I need is to pick a favorite piece of jewelery and off I go to the tenant gallery in Chicago.....

so the weekends here..... yay.....

no time to loose control again cause it's Saturday chore day and then off to see my brother selling some of his art at a gallery somewhere in the city. he's been back for almost a month from Las Vegas and now he is showing at a gallery.

am I JEALOUS, yes of course but very happy for him.

I will bring my camera along. I carry that thing with me on the weekends like my friend Jen carries her cell phone stuck to her body like another limb. just kidding jennifer love ya....

so can you believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner... I love Thanksgiving food - turkey - and most of all the pumpkin pie... I love pumpkin pie. My moms turkey is tooo die for and then potato salad something I don't eat often but love it, she then makes mostaccioli (sp?) and of course Mexican rice..... lovely.

I hope I am not getting you hungry.... I know I will be making something, but then off to work the next day, all day, no shopping for me on black Friday.... working overtime to pay off those awesome boots that I got in the mail yesterday.

I am a very impulsive person - I do all with my heart and feelings instead of using my head.

I don't worry sometimes about the consequences till the next day..... sucks but this is how I am.

decorating is very close to beginning.

so I think I have mentioned many a times that one of my brothers is a tattoo artist....

I swear I am this close to adding another tattoo to my body and it will be the image of this wonderful lady on this dominoes box.

I also want three stars to represent my two boys and the baby I lost many years ago..

hopefully I will get this done before the year is over.

remember I wrote about these boots a couple of weeks ago, well I found them in my size and for a very good price that I couldn't pass up.

can't wait.....

remember the other day I told you I went to my thrift well this is what I got. this beautiful cameo. I had always wanted one and had never bought one until I saw this one.

i did find other things that I did not take pics of but this was one of my prized findings for that day.

day off today and honestly what a wonderful day it was weather wise... so I did something this morning I had been wanting to do for a while now....

I grabbed my comfy green flowered cover, threw it on the ground under a wonderful oak tree, brought a couple of props out with me, my camera of course in hand and my faithful friend of all time Tobie...

we hung out and enjoyed a nice hour in the sun...

in my mind it's time to start decorating for Christmas...

so last weekend before Halloween I went to see Paranormal Activity 2 - I think it was better then the first, but not scary enough for someone like me that watches all the paranormal shows on TV

every week.

so if you want to go see it I think you should....fun entertainment for sure..

so I am on my way to work tomorrow and then off to meet my cousin Yoli for a nice dinner somewhere in Oak Brook and for a free facial at Macy's that she set up for us both.

wow OCTOBER came and went by so fast...

now it's time to look forward to Thanksgiving and of course one of my other favorite holidays Christmas..

I took off today just to break up the usual routine.

not sure where I am headed but first things first boys off to school and then yes run some errands (boring)..

my best friend Jen wants to hang out so I will probably visit her and then possibly a visit to my fav thrift store to see what goodies they are bringing in for Christmas..... you never know what you can find at these thrift stores.... hopefully some treasure await...
