I love elephants always have.
I keep this one under glass. My father gave me my first wooden elephant - keep it by the entrance of the door he said it will bring you luck.
I keep this small beauty on top of the table near the window under glass to protect it.
Forever this elephant will remind me of my father the oldest child that I know.

Blessed I tell ya
what a beautiful day today.
I took the day off and enjoyed every bit of that bright sun and that cool breeze. I enjoy taking a long drive, rolling down the windows and letting my long hair just go crazy and of course jammin it up a bit.
Took a drive to the arboretum, brought my camera with me, but guess what forgot the photo cartridge at home.... no pics today. So I went back to my pad and took a pic of this wonderful little vintage cupi doll that my friend JLO gave to me for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.
isn't she just the cutest.
It was a fantastic day today and I honestly enjoyed it. off the craving list - breeze in my hair......
peace to ya.

I am not a poet
BUT I KNOW WHO IS....
I recently got a used poetry book that I thought would be good since I love some of her music.
I am talking about JEWEL. The book is called A night without armor.....
I wanted to share this poem with you:
I AM PATIENT
I am patient
BUT DO NOT PUSH
for it is silently
my heart will break
one night
and with no words
you will find me gone
come morning

Dont know if you ever do this
While I was on vacation I tried to memorize the special places that totally captivated my eye. I sat myself examining everything carefully - colors, texture, smell.
My memory is so bad, but I was hoping that maybe staring at all the beauty for a bit would help me remember it all. Why do I do this? - Well in my mind when I really need a happy thought I can go back into my mind and try to remember that special place. Remember the good feeling it left imprinted.
The top picture was in Sedona, you can tell by the red dirt/sand and the bottom pic was in the pine forests of Flagstaff.
I seriously plan on getting away one day again to Sedona, AZ, yes it has a hold on me.
It's crazy cause I am such a free bird, but a responsible free bird. What I mean is if I didn't have a job or children I would be all over the place, just like a gypsy wandering the world, sleeping under the stars.

a few more
while in Vegas visiting my brother on a beautiful sunny day they decided to take us to Boulder City. Beautiful little town, clean as can be. Here are a few random pics that I took while visiting. There were a few antique stores in the little downtown strip.
At the end the boys enjoyed a bit of ice cream and off to Hoover Dam we went.

Can you see why?
Can you see why I did not want to come back... this place is full of energy.
I did make it to the top of Doe MT. Took us 45 minutes to climb but I did it and I was so proud. It was kind of funny though because this gentlemen passed by me running up this mountain. I of course pretended I was not huffing and puffing. I was almost at the top when he passes me and now he was running down.
of course I had to make a remark... Man your amazing. I was still going up and he was already coming down. YIKES.
Reminder to self - need to walk during lunch and during breaks at work instead of eating.

It was a once in a lifetime opportunity!
so I am back. Safe and Sound thanks to GOD. Blessed more then ever.
I would lie to you if I said I was happy to be back. In a way by the second day before I got back I started getting very anxious.
This vacation to me was a once in a lifetime chance. Las Vegas to see my brother and his family, Boulder City to see the dam, off to Sedona, AZ, Flagstaff and finally the Grand Canyon.
Here are a few out of 600 pics that were taken. I fell in love with Sedona. Talk about energy and beauty and fresh clean air and skies that were just amazing. I left a bit of my heart there.
The Grand Canyon what can I really say, but AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL..... how amazing is GOD.
Did a lot of walking and climbing... that is what this trip was all about.
I hope that my boys enjoyed it as much as I did.
I will post more pics soon, but I wanted to wish you all a happy EASTER tomorrow. I am back to the start.
All these pics were taken by me and my family so pls enjoy the beauty of them!
