Almost Almost

vacation is right around the corner and I am so excited... it's been a few years since I have been on a nice long vacation... I honestly feel like I won the lottery...

I can't wait to see my little brother and his wife and their two boys.

I am then off to Sedona for a few days and then hopefully the Grand Canyon.

Taking my camera and hopefully get to go shopping at their flea in Las Vegas.

I wish I could say that I am anxious to come back and show you the pics I will take, but honestly if I fall in love with Sedona I might not want to come back.... Just Kidding.

so other then taking pics, working and being a mother I think I have said this time and time again.

another gloomy day in IL. I am off to a jewelery party in a few hours in oak park. not sure what to expect, but hopefully it will be fun.

lucky me

a few weeks ago I was the lucky recipient of this wonderful antique. my cousin took me to visit her friend in Yorkville. Gary is trying to downsize and get back into the city and was so kind to give me some wonderful pieces that belonged to him and also to his mother. This is one of the pieces that he graciously gave to me. I love it. I now have it displayed in my kitchen.

I love this old vintage image of the Virgen Mary. I am not sure how old it is but when I saw her I had to take her home. The background is of an old 1900 diary that I won at an auction. It belonged to a gentleman that lived in MO. It's very interesting because he wrote about the first 6 months of his life in the year 1900 and all the trials that he went through in life.... If he only knew that I have it and now cherish it.

my eldest.....

so when I am not at work I am either at 3 or 4 soccer games during the weekend.

I am sure that if you follow my blog you know that a lot of my weekends are spent going to soccer games. We travel to Aurora, Naperville and just anywhere else if time permits

This is my eldest going on 13. He has been playing since he was 3 or 4.

That's a lot of soccer games ya'll.

I love this child, he has the kindest soul and we are so proud.
