yes, we enjoy each others company!

yesterday was such a beautiful day here in my part of the world. it was finally sunny, with beautiful fluffy clouds. for the last three days we have had gloomy rainy days and occasionally I don't mind a rainy day, but not three in a row, but that is just me. I am so glad that I got to enjoy this wonderful day without having to go to work.

I spent my day with my favorite cousin and part of my day with my youngest. we started with a walk to through the farmers market and then a really nice lunch at a nice restaurant in downtown wheaton.
we had a delish crab cake as an appetizer to start and who can say no to an ice cold ice tea.... my fav! WITH LEMON? yes, pls.

then we headed off to a cute store on main called Up Country and off to Home Goods, T J Maxx, Ulta. not sure if you've been out but Home Goods has their Halloween stuff out already.

I LERVE HALLOWEEN! and if you take in a deep breath I swear I can smell fall just around the corner and I LOVE FALL and all that comes with it. The tree across the street from my house is already loosing it's fall colored leaves..... our day came to an end with some pizza, wine, a nice fire in our fire pit outside and some great bread that I purchased at the farmers market.

Remember a couple of months ago

remember a few months ago when I went to the Eddie Ross thingy at Kane County, well I never shared the treasure I found and couldn't leave without.

this is it..

I find this so beautiful, the details, the glitter, the man that sold it to me told me he had got the picture from a lady that was in her 90s.

so beautiful that I wanted to share it with you.

so this is some of that vintage ribbon that I bought at the flea.

it's not really a soft texture. You can probably use it to bind a book.

what did I get at the all nighter flea yesterday... well to be honest this year was more fun, but I really did not get much.....

the company was great, it was also fun cause you look kind of goofy late at night looking through stuff with a flash light, but tooo be honest with ya I maybe was not in a shopping mood.

pictured is something that I did buy myself a pair of funky earrings from a nice lady I have seen at Kane County and at the Randolph Street Market. I am digging the colors and they will look nice with a black shirt, jeans and some black flip flops...

I also bought a couple of yards of vintage ribbon and something else that I think you will like, but I did not get a chance to take a picture of it today. So stay tuned I will try to post it on Tuesday.

Can't wait to see what fun stuff I find at the flea market this weekend?

it's been a while hugh, well not for long. this weekend for all you die hard treasure hunters is the Wheaton All Nighter flea market.

Yes, you heard me right I believe from 5 to 4 a.m. you can shop till you drop.

I am definitely going. I am dragging my 12 year old son, just kidding, he loves flea markets and a lady from work actually wants to go.

It will be a long day, but I am so ready for it. I have the batteries charging on my camera and hopefully I will have some good shots so that I can share with you.

of course my jaw dropped, I love old homes.

I wish I could go in and just see what beauty it holds inside.

If it wasn't for a lady named MARY reminding me I swear it would have passed me up. lately since I am prohibited in bringing anything big into my home, right now I am focusing on jewelery. not the expensive kind just more interesting pieces. this long necklace above its one of my favorites. it has a great image of a tree and leaves. I AM A TREE lover you know.

well that is all the news I have for now, I will definitely get pictures of the all nighter flea for ya.
I work that day so I already told the hubster that I will be gone all day - work and then off to play and see what wonderful finds I can get at the flea, small finds that is.
