so what's good for the soul, sitting down and enjoying a nice afternoon, smelling the fresh clean air.... a nice cold drink would have been nice, but at least I had my radio playing some of my favorite tunes and of course my friend the camera....

so I have been listening to this awesome cd from Adele.... I love this song..... why? because it reminds me of me especially the line
I WON'T LET YOU CLOSE ENOUGH TO HURT ME.... wow it's a strong line, but it's a true fact in my life..... something I am trying to work through... if I can't keep up with your turning tables - I leave...
I've done this time and time again to people in my life recently.... lost a few close friends along the way.

In my eyes this is a beautiful picture, but honestly sometimes I feel that a picture sometimes does not truly capture the beauty of our surroundings....

as much as you try either the pic comes our blurry or the colors are not as you have seen them.

as I am getting older, just like my parents, I am starting to appreciate nature... not that I didn't before but now I guess I try to stop and smell the roses more then I did before..

I still have my hectic crazy days, but I am more aware of my surroundings and can appreciate a beautiful flowering tree that has dropped all it's flowers and the pavement is covered with their color or a clear blue sky with it's puffy white clouds...

I guess we are forever growing and changing. I am learning how to appreciate the simple things...

maybe my anxiety has taught me to slow down finally.....

so even though I have not had a chance to take a day off or at least take some personal time to enjoy the weather

I was able to rest my feet on this wicker chair before it started raining....

the days have been so lovely here in IL a tad hot but I will not complain.

hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow and the weekend is just around the corner.....

so what did I do today, well spent it all day outside in the great weather we had today watching soccer games of course.. had a nice lunch with my boys and just hung out and enjoyed the day...

washing? what washing... that did not happen till right now and yes I want to go to bed as I like getting as much sleep as possible...

I am going to take it easy today.... actually I have to wash clothes otherwise I am going to slack all day and just enjoy the sunny weather.

I do have 2 soccer games to attend but that is okay.... I will sit on my butt and just try to relax..

Nature my new found sanctuary. I swear that I can spend hours just being outdoors..

Soon I will take a day off and instead of going to visit doctors I will lay under a wonderful tree and just admire it's beauty..
