we love you PAPASH and always will!

what a week it has been. Remember just the other day I introduced you two my two beautiful boys. Tobie the white schnauzer and Papash my little baby boy. I wanted to share that Papash just passed away. it's totally a shock still, but he was run over by a vehicle and I had to have him euthanized. I swear it has been the hardest decision I have had to make.

his poor little body was not going to make it so my pretty boy left me and my family on Tuesday night.

GOT SPRING?

wow what a wonderful weekend weather wise we had here on my side of the world.

SUN SUN SUN and more sun.... You know I love the sun and when I say that I don't mean 90 degrees. Just the energy of the sun on your face can make any negative energy just disappear.

Yesterday we spent the most part of the afternoon just cleaning up the yard. Our house we live in now had not been lived in for almost a year. The yard will definitely need a lot of work. We have a few small trees to knock down and yes flowers and more flowers to plant.

So did you smell SPRING in the air this weekend.

I did I swear!

I attended the Wheaton flea/antique show and ran into Joan from The Potting Shed and Rhubarb Reign. I purchased some great 1920 pics from Rhubarb and from Joan I purchased some vintage ledger sheets and this wonderful framed fern that I need to find a place for. I already have an idea, but I will have to work on that this week.

The rest of my time was spent on two soccer games and another birthday party.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I hear no rain in store for us the rest of this coming week...YAY!

So if you are having wonderful weather take a few minutes to smell that fresh air...

Can you smell it?

Can you smell that SPRING is in the air!

I am a BELIEVER

I never discuss religion with many people because I truly believe that everyone is entitled to believe in what they want. Live and let live that is how I truly feel.
I am a believer, I BELIEVE in GOD. I am Catholic, but not practicing like many. It's been a while since I have attended mass. Never found a good church to attend in MO and my husband is not a believer so I have put going to mass on the back burner.
My faith is still very strong though.
Occasionally, I attend prayer group with my cousin. It makes me feel great to pray and thank him for all that he has blessed me with. The other day as we stayed a bit behind to talk to Father EKPO he said something to me that has stayed on my mind.
He said since the first time he saw me he knew I WAS FAITHFUL. He knew it from the first time he met me. I guess it kind of bothers me in a strange way because if he only knew that I have not attended mass in a very long time. Is it guilt?
I was told long ago that I am not a practicing Catholic and to be honest I believe I am not if I don't attend mass, BUT I also feel that just because I don't attend mass that does not mean that my FAITH IN GOD is any lesser.
I don't know why things happen the way they do or for what reason. Why do things happen the way they do????? Why? I guess we just need to have FAITH.
So with that I leave you. I probably will never write about religion again because it's so personal, but wanted to share what was on my mind..... wanted to share another bit of me that I usually keep very private.
I hope you don't mind.
Just ME
GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes another post.....

since tomorrow is Monday and I am off to work usually during the week I don't blog so I thought I would leave you with another post. The latest Country Home mag has some wonderful eye candy.

Check out the mirror to the left.

Love the way the room is decorated. Green is my favorite color with red coming in second.

Down below (second pic) is the best of all in my eye.

Very country.... but that is what I love.

Yes this city girl fell in love with the country when she moved to MO years ago.

Beth left me a comment about my adventure yesterday. I believe she is right. It's really pretty way way north of Wheaton. I don't know what route I was on, but some of it just reminded me of MO.

Downtown Grayslake was nice. Some old homes. I then took route 83 which got me all the way to route 53 and all the way home.
back to Country Home I believe they not be publishing this mag anymore after March. BUMMER! It's pretty wonderful.

Down below is a picture that I bought from Rhubarb Reign (sorry if I spelled that wrong ya'll) I added their link to the side bar for you to check out.

They and The Potting Shed are vendors that I wanted to see this weekend. Great news! Joan from The Potting Shed just let me know that she will be at the Wheaton flea this coming weekend and since that is only at least 10 minutes away you know definitely where I will be if GOD permits of course.

well I am off to go paruse some of my favorite blogs.

peace to you my friends.

Sleep tight and I will see ya soon.

Love, Just ME

JOAN, PATTI and BETH

Hello ladies,
Patti and Beth, yes the previous picture is not how it is now in my side of the world. That is how I wish it looked in my side of the world in my mind. The previous picture was taken last year in the fall. I just loved the dreamy look of it.
Ladies I took a wild ride yesterday. I went all the way to the flea and never made it. GOT LOST. I mapquested the address and it just did not get me there. So I was in the car from 2 to 5:30 p.m. which it should of only taken me to get there an hour.
Joan I apologize that I did not make it. I tried honestly to go see ya. I was bummed, but to be honest I believe my husband jinxed me. Angie you are going to get lost. It's really far. Well HUBBY dear it takes almost as long to get to your mothers house and I am going to try anyways.

Well, I made it back home so I am not as dumb as he thinks I am. Maybe, he wanted me to get lost and not return...... I think he totally underestimated me yesterday (even though I did get lost). I won't try it today again. Maybe when the weather get's better.
So after a long day in the car I decided to find a good spot for my mirror and this is where it ended up at. I love it.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I am definitely going to stay close to home today. Maybe go to Costco ****** love that place**** and just get ready for another week of the grind.

Hello to you all and thanks for always listening.

Peace,

JUST ME

my side of the world..what's happening in yours?

saturday... that word is music to my ears.

I hope you are doing something wonderful today.

Is it me or are you ready for spring as well.
Chirping birds, that fresh clean outdoor smell, green buds on trees and new life poking from under the wet black dirt.

Is it me or are you also craving the outdoors?

My mom called this morning to see how I was doing. Worried that she had not heard from me.
Sometimes during the week I am just so tired that I really don't talk to anyone after I get home from work. A sunny day once in a while snaps me out of my cocoon.

Looks like rain outside and possibly all weekend.

The Grayslake flea is calling my name. I will definitely go today or tomorrow. I will bring my camera along to see if I can possibly take some pics for you to see. I did pick up my mirror from the antique mall the other day. Need a special place for such a piece.

Wishing you many sunny days soon to be had.
