I survived the day & the ice cream social

I have survived the day. Never thought this day would come to an end, but thank GOD that it has. It all started out bad. You know wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Not in the mood to be in my own skin and then the happening with the lady and her kids and to top it off an ice cream social where every one knows each other already and your just standing around looking dumb and wanting time to fly very fast instead of slow.

I made it though.

There was something great about the end of today and that was a good juicy peach and PROJECT RUNWAY. Plus my little one wrote in our carpet with his little finger I LOVE YOU MOM! Great way to end this day.

So I am looking forward to the overnight flea this Sat in Wheaton and I met a woman that is a certified HERBALIST that is going to supply me with herbs to ease my anxiety and stress PLUS she almost died when I told her that I don't take vitamins so she is going to supply something for that. SHE said I should be feeling great in TWO days. I hope so.

I swear I have not felt 100% in a very long time. I am so tired of not feeling good and having a bad day like today does not help.

TOTALLY PISSED OFF!

So I apologize here because it's not the happy ANGIE you all seem to know if you read my blog. I know I will regret writting this tomorrow, but I need to get this off my chest.

Maybe an hour or so ago, I stopped at my local grocery store to get a few things. It's hot out here today, especially if you are out in the sun. As I was approaching my car, I heard a little boy saying mommie, mommie. I looked over and in the next vehicle is a little boy in his car seat with the window maybe cracked open I would say 2 to 3 inches. NO PARENT in the car or around the car. I guess when he saw me he thought I was his mother. So I walked to the other side of the vehicle to see if there was maybe someone else in there and there was, but it was not an adult it was a little girl probably around 5 or 6 AGAIN no parent in the vehicle or outside of the vehicle. HER window was cracked I would say around 4 to 5 inches.

IT IS FREAKIN HOT OUT HERE TODAY PEOPLE!

She did not even think to park under a tree or something to give these kids some shade.

IF YOU ARE FREAKING GOING TO GO SHOPPING TAKE YOUR KIDS WITH YOU.

I waited around to see when this parent was going to come out of the grocery store.

I SHOULD OF CALLED THE COPS. I SHOULD OF CALLED THEM! BUT WHY SHOULD I CARE...... RIGHT?

So as I was leaving, I got the nerve to roll my window:

I said, excuse me YOU SHOULD NOT LEAVE YOUR KIDS IN THE CAR ESPECIALLY ON A HOT DAY LIKE THIS.

She said, I ONLY WENT TO GET A FEW THINGS... SEE and gave me a dirty look.

I said, SOMEONE LIKE ME, NEXT TIME, WILL CALL THE COPS.

Her answer to me was "WHATEVER"........

NOW WHY SHOULD I FREAKING CARE! IF WHATEVER WAS HER RESPONSE.

HOW ABOUT WHEN YOU GO TO JAIL YOU S+++++ W+++++ and your KIDS ARE ROASTED in your car. WILL SHE BE SAYING WHATEVER....

I AM SUCH IN A BAD MOOD TODAY. SO OF COURSE THIS HAS TOTALLY MESSED UP MY DAY.....

WHY SHOULD I FREAKING CARE? WHY SHOULD I? IF OTHER PEOPLE DON'T WHY am I SO STUPID TO CARE AT ALL.

I HATE CARING! I HATE CARING! IT SUCKS!

Fretting over the ice cream social

today is the ice cream social at my boys' school and I am totally fretting to go. I don't do well in crowds. I tend to want to hide myself in a shell. I do way better on a one on one basis, but crowds and new situations - YIKES.....

I need to get myself pumped up, but I really do not want to attend.

tree huggers/climbers

first day of school today. I think i was more nervous for them then they were. the other day we found this nice park close to home. nice day to go and play on the swings or run around. my boys instead decide to climb some trees. it was a warm day and these trees were giving great shade and there was a nice breeze right under them. so instead of being out in the sun swinging or sliding their fun was climbing.

and as you can tell tree hugging runs in the family.

we made it through the first day of school. 1/2 day only so we will see how they do tomorrow when it's a full day.

thank GOD our life is somewhat getting itself back to it's usual routine.

Vintage Living

okay so I only took a few pics of this amazing store in Glen Ellyn, but if you think this is stuff is out of this world let me tell ya it is. I think this store is up there as one of my favorites. I asked the owner if I could live there and she just laughed. I did not take too many pictures because I was nervous to ask so believe me this is nothing. She just has amazing taste. there were these millinery hats that believe you me blows my collection out the door. she had one of a kind stuff. YES YES YES a bit pricey, but if you want that special piece of jewelery that no one else in this world is going to have you need to check out this store. I am so excited about this place. If you are ever in this part of town you need to drop by FOR SURE. Call me or e-mail me I will go with you.

she is going to start having classes there as well. I left this place so inspired and on a high. one day I would love to own a place like this, but at this point in time I will settle just selling at the flea.

hanging out

my friend Jen came over today to just hang out in my part of town. we hit Naperville downtown, Glen Ellyn downtown and Wheaton downtown. Wheaton holds a farmers market every Saturday. I had no idea, but I will defintely go visit it next Saturday. I love supporting farmers markets. their fruit and veggies looked really fresh. I enjoy eating veggies so that by itself will get me to visit again. I bought a new skirt at the GAP on clearance. I enjoy wearing skirts when possible. Pottery barn had these gorgeous green candle holders for sale. One of the young ladies at the GAP told us we had to go to ETHELS. It's a cute girly place where you can buy their chocolates or have your choice of a few drinks that of course include chocolate. I had the chocolate banana smoothie and my friend had the white chocolate strawberry smoothie. Plus, for 2 extra dollars you have your choice of two pieces of chocolate. I was chocolated OUT by the time I left the store. Really a cute place to go hang out with a friend.

another place you need to visit if you are in Glen Ellyn is a WONDERFUL, I mean WONDERFUL store called VINTAGE LIVING. I have never been to PARIS, but this store just reminded me so much of Paris. I swear it captured it's essence. the owner knows how to display. if you want to purchase something different that you don't see anywhere else YOU need to go to this wonderful store right in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn. it seriously does not dissapoint. I will post a few pics next.
