okay, okay, okay I am getting the flea itch bad. my hubby is planning a day with the boys next weekend and I am planning a day with a friend. I found this little shop in Glen Ellyn named Vintage Living that looked really great through their window. I have been wanting to go visit it, but I hang out with my boys all the time and they get bored and want to go do something that they will enjoy not what mom will enjoy. So next weekend (as I am conjuring this up in my head right now), I want to do something girly.... no not planning on getting my nails done or anything like that... more like hanging out with a friend and hit some nice little shops in downtown Naperville or Glen Ellyn and also another thought comes to mind.... next weekend is the Sandwich Antique show again. I can take a long drive and go see what new stuff the vendors have. What to do, what to do? Wish you were coming along. We would have fun and maybe the Franciscan sisters will be there making their delicious crepes...now doesn't that sound yummie..

My SON, the soccer player.....

My older son has been playing soccer since he was four. This weekend took us to Rockford, IL for a placement tournament. I did not know that Soccer was as popular here as in Missouri. We are so proud of him. He is a pretty great player. We had three games today and three more games tomorrow.
I wish I had all his energy.

I'm A tree LovER

yes, it's true I AM A TREE lover, TRee Hugger. this is the view from my apartment's balcony. It is truly beautiful. You Can See this WonderFul Tree from my bedroom window. YesterDay as I was watChing who knoWs what on tv, I noticed the Sun Shinning OFf the Tree BranChes and thOught how twinkling it was. My fAther told me that If you Hug a Tree or Stand right Next to One You Can Pick up it's Energy. BelieVe me I have been doing just that lately. Standing By Them, HuggIng Them, Picking Flowers and Laying Them next to their trunk.

Trees are Just beauitful if you take a few Minutes to Just look At One You will Notice As well.

Just wanted to remind everyone, before I go to bed, that on August 23rd ( in Wheaton ) there will be an overnight flea market. starts at 5:00 p.m. and ends I belive around 4:00 a.m. I missed the St. Charles flea this past weekend so I will be very anxious to attend this one.

unpacking, moving, organizing, that is what I have been up to since last Friday. Calgon take me away. I am done with moving and to tell you the truth this move is just temporary. When our house sells we will be moving again. I told my hubby this is it for me. I will be happy if I don't see another box or plastic bag in a while. So while I am still busy trying to get my apartment organized I leave you with this picture I took at my mom's garden. enjoy!

I am back from MO and MAN OH MAN it was HOTTTTT! That is one thing that I am not going to miss about MO, the heat... tomorrow will be another moving day. Our apartment is ready for us to move in and that will be our home until December. It was nice to be in our home and sleep in our own beds even if it was just for one night. My husband was on me about bringing back with us only what we really needed. Of course I could not do that I had to bring with me a few things to decorate at least the living room tables. Don't make this place personal he said. Sorry that is not me. If I am going to live in this new place for the next couple months, I have to make it feel at least a little bit homey.

Okay it's getting late and believe it or not after working all day and driving back to Illinois I am not really tired, but it's time to go relax and watch whatever is left of Saturday Night Live.
